Officials in Melbourne, Florida, have announced a major disruption to their emergency alert system. The CodeRED mass notification service is currently down due to a cybersecurity incident affecting its third-party provider, OnSolve.

This outage means residents signed up for CodeRED will not receive crucial emergency or general notifications via phone, text, or email. The city uses the platform to quickly share information about severe weather, public safety concerns, and other urgent local matters.

OnSolve, the company behind CodeRED, confirmed it is experiencing a system-wide outage. They are actively working to investigate the incident and restore service as quickly as possible. The city is in close contact with the provider to monitor the situation.
